EPCA 2018 – Lucite International heads to Vienna

Members of Lucite International’s (LI) commercial team are set to attend the 52nd EPCA Annual Meeting in Vienna, Austria next month. Europe’s largest chemicals industry event will this year be dedicated to “Petrochemicals and the Low-Carbon Economy: Versatile Solutions for Greater Sustainability”.

More than 2,000 delegates from across the globe are expected to attend this year’s event. LI attends every year, enjoying the opportunity to discuss the dynamics of the market with both customers and suppliers, as well as finding out how we can continue supporting our customers’ businesses.

The MMA market has seen new capacity introduced over the last 12 months, including Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation’s (MCC) investment in the SAMAC project in Saudi Arabia using LI’s “Alpha” technology. There has also been investment from MCC in new MAA and BMA capacity in Asia, which has come on line in 2018. The industry landscape is constantly evolving meaning that there is always much to discuss.

With the majority of the European (and global) chemical industry being in attendance in Vienna, it will be a great opportunity for LI to stay abreast of market developments, technological/societal trends and, in particular, the new and innovative ways in which our customers are using our products.

We look forward to meeting many of our customers and industry partners next month.
